Rear Axle Bar / CV Upgrade

The Rear Axle Bar and Inner CV upgrade for the E46 M3 is now available. We have developed a set of axle bars, inner CV and outer CV internal upgrade, using our 36 spline high grade aircraft quality bars (stock axle bars are 28 spline) and a custom chromoly CV cage and race set makes these axles practically indestructible. Our chromoly 108mm inner CV is a direct replacement for the stock unit, and features full aerospace grade internals. The factory M3 outer CV housing is made from a very strong material, and we upgrade the internals to an aerospace grade set also.You must send in your factory OEM axles so we can assemble this set. We will temper and shotpeen the outer housings, install factory style metal covers on the outer CV (double o-ring sealed), install our new cage/race internals along with our 36 spline bars and 108mm inner CV. Rated to 1000HP with a 1-year warranty.

 

You must send in your Factory OEM axles to have this process done, (7-10 days to be completed)

This is our 1-piece Chromoly conversion for the BMW E46 (6-Speed Manual Transmission ONLY, will not fit SMG). The shaft is 3" x .083" DOM tube with billet aluminum plates to convert the small bolt pattern on the factory transmission to use larger 1310 U-Joint and a 108mm CV to mount to the differential, which will eliminate any possible pinion angle issues. This shaft weighs 25 pounds and since we are removing the hanger bearing, it will make the car seem more athletic and give it a smoother power transfer. We would have liked to offer an aluminum version, but for strength it would have to be 3.5" aluminum which is too large in diameter to fit without a clearance issue. Unlike other aftermarket shafts for BMW's this shaft features a slider system that will let the shaft move in and out during racing and chassis flex. This shaft is now being balanced on our new 9500RPM balancer to ensure a perfectly balanced shaft. Comes complete with precision machined front and rear conversion plates and all necessary hardware for installation
